[glow=red,2,300]ILLUSTRATED HIEROGLYPHICS HANDBOOK[/glow] by [shadow=red,left,300]Ruth Schumann-Antelme & Ste'phanie Rossini[/shadow] is a very nice book. It has a nice introduction to get you acquainted with the format of Hieroglyphic writing, but, as every language book should do, gets right to the point and within nineteen pages you're to the illustrations of the glyphs. I think it would be great for beginners or for advanced students.
